Slice of Charity Privacy Policy

Slice of Charity Privacy Policy & Donor Bill of Rights Last Updated: August 3, 2026 At Slice of Charity (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, we recognize that your privacy is of paramount importance. This Privacy Policy and Donor Protection Notice governs the data collection, programmatic usage, maintenance, and disclosure practices of the websites, platforms, and fundraising services (collectively, our “Services”) managed by Slice of Charity. By using our website or contributing a financial gift, you implicitly agree to the collection, processing, and management rules outlined in this document. If you do not agree with any terms outlined herein, please immediately cease utilization of our digital platforms. 1. Core Donor Privacy Pledge (Donor Bill of Rights)Unlike standard commercial entities, Slice of Charity places rigid parameters on how data provided by philanthropic contributors is managed.

  • Zero Commercial Monetization: We will not  sell, rent, lease, trade, or share a donor's personally identifiable information (such as names, phone numbers, home addresses, or email records) with any commercial marketing firm or outside group.
  • Third-Party Mailing Restriction: We wont execute physical mailings, telemarketing campaigns, or localized promotional tracking pushes on behalf of outside entities using our internal donor lists.
  • Restricted Operational Processing: Donor metrics are analyzed strictly internally to generate tax-deductible receipts, process transactions securely, distribute periodic impact newsletters, and provide program updates.
  • Third-Party Platform Enforcement: When donations are funneled through specialized processing applications (such as Givebutter or related payment gateways), your data is securely locked down. It is used exclusively to complete the financial transaction you initiated and will not be shared for external use.

2. Categories of Information We Collect We collect a variety of information from website visitors, event attendees, merchandise buyers, and donors through explicit input and automated tracing protocols. A. Information Voluntarily Provided by You

  • Contact Information: Names, personal email addresses, active phone numbers, and physical mailing coordinates submitted when registering for accounts, subscribing to news alerts, or purchasing Slice of Charity Merch.
  • Financial Transaction Data: When processing online donations or buying goods, payment metrics (credit card digits, card verification values, billing statements) are safely handled via encryption. We use PCI-compliant, third-party payment gateways and do not store raw financial numbers on our native local servers.
  • Community Engagement & Media Submissions: Specific communication logs, notes, or media attachments supplied through online registration forms or customer support requests (sent directly to anthony@sliceofcharity.org).

B. Information Automatically Collected via Platform Analytics

  • Device Mechanics: IP addresses, hardware parameters, browser classifications, operational system versions, and structural device indicators.
  • Usage Footprints: Chronological timestamps, localized session lengths, localized bounce logs, specific inner pages viewed, and exact internal keywords typed into our site query tools.
  • Tracking Pixels & Cookie Deployments: Alphanumeric data packages embedded directly onto user browsers to trace navigational movement. These help optimize site loading speed and streamline user interface elements across web browsers.

3. How Data is Handled and Utilized Slice of Charity strictly confines all digital processing to standard, non-invasive organizational operations:

  • To fulfill, trace, and formally log donor financial transactions for mandatory IRS Tax compliance.
  • To deliver essential administrative notices, transactional receipts, and strategic local event updates.
  • To review, adjust, and optimize our digital layout to ensure accessible navigation across all screens.
  • To detect, block, and prevent fraudulent actions, site cyberattacks, or safety violations across our forms.

4. Third-Party Web Disclosures & Marketing Integrations To manage our online outreach on platforms like GoDaddy, non-donor visitor data may be tracked by third-party services:

  • Google Analytics: Evaluates web traffic trends and site behavior metrics. You can disable this by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Meta Pixels: Helps analyze the performance of social media outreach on Facebook and Instagram. This data tracks website actions to optimize ad campaigns for general audiences.
  • LinkedIn & Microsoft Advertising: Traces professional community interaction and event promotion performance across regional networks.

Legal Disclosures: We reserve the right to share information if strictly required by a court order, subpoena, or to comply with law enforcement requests. 5. User Control, Choice, and Data Modification Rights You maintain complete ownership of your personal data footprints.

  • Email Communication Control: You can stop receiving promotional emails at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of our digital newsletters.
  • Browser Cookie Controls: Most web browsers allow you to modify or clear tracking cookies through your built-in preference menus.
  • Donor Data Deletion Requests: Donors can request to review, update, or completely delete their stored personal records. To request removal from our database, contact us at anthony@sliceofcharity.org.

6. Security Infrastructure & Safeguards We implement reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no system is entirely secure. While we work to keep your data safe, we cannot guarantee absolute security for information transmitted over the internet. 7. Compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)Our services are designed for general audiences and are not directed to minors under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or track personal information from children. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will immediately remove it from our records. 8.
